VegNews
Art Direction, Editorial Design, Print Production
VegNews, a lifestyle magazine celebrating animal rights and veganism, and I was its Art Director. In addition to designing and producing the bi-monthly magazine, I created ads, one-sheets, presentations, and a range of marketing materials across print and digital.
I led art direction for all illustrators and photographers — sourcing talent, managing schedules, and guiding each contributor to bring the editorial vision to life. For every issue, I designed the full interior, including three feature stories, and collaborated closely with the editorial team to develop the cover concept. I also prepared all files for print and worked directly with the printer to ensure color accuracy and production quality.
magazines/editorial
Distributed nationally, VegNews won multiple design awards while I was its art director, including Best Lifestyle Magazine and Best Cover from the Western Publishing Association.

marketing materials
Independently published, the marketing of the magazine, services and products was managed by the publisher. We collaborated directly on various marketing materials including print and digital ads, subscription cards, and information sheets.

media kits + book proposal
Annually, I updated and designed the media kits. Plus, I created a one-off book proposal that secured a book deal for the editorial staff.

SIP & inserts
For the annual holiday issue, I designed cookbook inserts, two of which you can see here. One year, we also added a standalone special interest publication sold on newsstands that I designed and produced.
